Wat Phraputthabat Khao Luak The temple houses a mark of Buddha’s footprint, which is a replica of the footprint at WatPhraPhuttabat in Saraburi Province. Once entering the temple, there is a staircase leading up that connects to the temple area on top of a small hill. On the hill, there is a mondopwhere visitors can enter, though the door may be closed. Inside, there are stunning murals of beautiful patterns on the wall and a large imprint of Buddha’s foot in the middle of the building, or where the doors on four directions cross. Walking around the temple, there are a white chedi in front of the ubosot and a statue of Luang Poo NgoanSorayo, a famous monk and instructor who used to stay at WatPhraPhuttabatKhaoRuak
The monk was the creator of PhraPhuttaWimok, theBuddha images in Samadhi mudra which were given to schools throughout Thailand. There are also the viharn of Luang Poo Ngoan, where many images of Buddha and the monk’s portrait are stored, the viharn of PhraPhuttaMokYok Kao, the largest wooden drum in the world named “NunthapheriSriracharukkoMahoratukMaruktayawanBunruelok”, and a hermit statue which was made from laterite from River Kern basin has around 1,000-1,500 years old.Moreover, there is a small zoo where visitors can admire and learn more about various animals.
