Pink Trumpet Tree Avenue at Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus is one of Thailand’s most famous flower viewing destinations. The trees have been planted along the university’s main roads for over 30 years, with more than 1,000 trees spread across different areas, especially along Wattana Sathiansawat Road and near the Kasetsart Demonstration School, Kamphaeng Saen.
The pink trumpet tree is a medium to large deciduous tree with a tall, slender trunk and palmate leaves. Before flowering, the leaves fall almost completely, leaving clusters of pink blossoms ranging from light pink to deep pink covering the branches, making the trees appear like large pink canopies along the road.
The blooming period generally occurs from late January to March each year, with peak bloom lasting only about 7–14 days depending on weather conditions, temperature, and humidity. Cooler weather tends to produce more synchronized and abundant blooming.
The highlight of this area is the long road transformed into a pink tunnel of flowers. When the blossoms fall, they create a soft pink carpet on the ground, making it one of the most popular photography spots in Thailand.
The campus atmosphere is calm and shaded, with large trees, green areas, ponds, and open spaces, making it suitable for walking, relaxing, and nature photography.
However, the blooming period is short, so visitors are advised to check updates from the university before visiting. It is also recommended to avoid peak weekends due to crowds and to be cautious of traffic inside the campus during the flower festival period.
