“A suspended steel-cable walkway stretching over 300 meters long, situated amidst a botanical forest at a height of over 30 meters, featuring modern safety systems and panoramic mountain views.”

Doi Tung Tree Top Walk located within the Mae Fa Luang Garden, stems from the Royal Initiative of the Princess Mother (Somdet Ya) to reforest the area and restore its natural abundance. This walkway was built to allow people to experience nature from a different perspective than walking on the ground. The structure is a suspended cable bridge, designed to be strong and durable, winding through large trees in a temperate forest. The design emphasizes ecological balance; no trees were cut down for construction. Instead, safe and eco-friendly attachment techniques were used, making visitors feel like an authentic part of the forest.

The highlight of this location is the walking on air experience. Visitors are required to wear safety harnesses and international-standard carabiners. Throughout the 300-meter path, you will walk through the forest canopy, which boasts high biodiversity. You can see rare forest trees, temperate flowers planted in the gardens below, and high-quality Arabica coffee trees—the primary livelihood of the local highlanders. At a maximum height_ of 30 meters, you can clearly overlook the Mae Fa Luang Garden and the complex mountain ranges, offering a view that is rarely seen without stepping onto this walkway.

In terms of nature and culture, the forest surrounding this walkway is a testament to the success of reforestation on the highlands. Tourists can learn about the growth of large temperate trees and the vital role the forest ecosystem plays in the lives of the people on Doi Tung. Walking here is not just about excitement; it is about absorbing the dedication to forest conservation passed down through decades. The atmosphere is filled with the sounds of birds and the wind whistling through the treetops, providing a relaxing escape where one can breathe in the purest air.

During the winter season, the air is exceptionally fresh and cool, with light mist often floating past the bridge in the morning, making it the most popular time to visit. In the rainy season, the forest turns a lush, vibrant green, and the dampness brings life to the moss and ferns clinging to the branches, creating a mysterious and charming ambiance. Well-trained staff are stationed at various points to ensure safety and provide assistance, giving visitors full confidence throughout the activity.

This destination is perfect for all groups of travelers, whether it be friends looking for a soft adventure, photographers wanting to capture the suspension bridge amidst a deep forest, or families bringing children to learn about nature. The Doi Tung Tree Top Walk is a "must-check-in" spot in Chiang Rai because it combines excitement, beautiful scenery, and conservation knowledge all in one place.
