Chang Hua Man Royal Project is a model agricultural development project established under the royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. In the past, the project area was dry and unsuitable for cultivation due to water shortages. Through the application of efficient water management inspired by royal initiatives, the land was successfully restored and transformed into a lush green area. Today, it stands as a tangible example of the “New Theory Agriculture,” showcasing integrated farming practices that combine crop cultivation, livestock raising, and responsible use of natural resources.

One of the most iconic features of the Chang Hua Man Project is the field of 20 wind turbines standing prominently on the hills. These turbines generate clean energy for use within the project, demonstrating how renewable energy can be effectively integrated into agricultural development. Another significant highlight is the Royal Working Residence, a simple two-story wooden house that reflects a philosophy of modest living in harmony with nature and symbolizes the core principles of sufficiency and simplicity.

Within the project grounds, visitors can explore experimental plots of various economic crops such as Phetchaburi pineapples, limes, and rainbow rose apples, as well as a demonstration dairy farm focused on producing high-quality raw milk. • From Bangkok, take Phetkasem Road towards Phetchaburi. Pass through the city center toward Tha Yang, then turn right following the signs for the Chang Hua Man Royal Project (toward Khao Krapuk).

Public Transport:

• Take a van or bus to Tha Yang district, then hire a local transport to the project site (private car is highly recommended as the area is quite vast).

Rental Car:

• Cars can be rented from Phetchaburi city or Cha-am beach for a roughly 45-minute drive to the project.

Best Season: 

• Visitable year-round, but November to January is best for cool weather, clear skies, and blooming flowers.
