Jesada Technik Museum is located in Ngio Rai Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province. It is a large private museum that collects a wide variety of vehicles from around the world and is considered one of the most outstanding learning centers for automotive history and transportation technology in Thailand. The museum was founded by Mr. Jesada Dedsakulrith, a Thai businessman who has been passionate about vehicles since childhood. His interest in vehicle collection began when he had the opportunity to work in Europe and visited several automobile museums in Germany, such as the Technik Museum Speyer and the Technik Museum Sinsheim. These experiences inspired him to create a similar museum in Thailand. In 1997, he started his collection with his first vehicle, a Messerschmitt KR200 microcar, purchased at an auction in Switzerland, and continued expanding his collection until it became a large and diverse assortment. In 2007, the Jesada Technik Museum was officially opened as a public exhibition space. Its purpose is to preserve the history of global transportation and to allow the general public to visit free of charge. The museum displays more than 500 to 1,000 vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, three-wheelers, buses, as well as special vehicles such as airplanes, helicopters, and some conceptual exhibits of submarines.
One of the main highlights of the museum is the diversity of its collection, especially European microcars and three-wheel vehicles such as Messerschmitt and BMW Isetta, which are prominently displayed near the entrance. The museum also features classic cars from Europe and the United States, including the Citroën DS, the DeLorean from the movie Back to the Future, vintage American taxis, as well as trucks, fire engines, and military vehicles from various eras, most of which are preserved in excellent condition.
In other exhibition zones, there are also motorcycles, Vespa scooters, rare three-wheel vehicles that are considered early prototypes of modern tuk-tuks, as well as large passenger vehicles such as double-decker London buses and many classic European buses. In addition, the museum displays large aircraft such as the Boeing 747 and Lockheed TriStar, along with helicopters and other special vehicles, showcasing the development of global transportation technology in a comprehensive way.
The exhibition area is designed as an open space with large warehouse-style buildings arranged in rows, creating an atmosphere more similar to a vehicle storage facility than a traditional museum. Visitors are able to walk freely and view each vehicle up close, making it especially suitable for those interested in automotive history, students, engineering enthusiasts, and general tourists. The museum also plays an educational role by welcoming school groups for learning activities related to automotive technology. Occasionally, special events are held, such as classic vehicle parades and exhibitions in collaboration with local communities.
