“A beautiful beach with fine white sand and clear sea water, lined with coconut trees providing shade along the coast”
Haad Lamae is a large beach that stretches along the coast of Lamae District, Chumphon Province, known among tourists who enjoy peaceful and relatively undisturbed natural settings. Its distinctive features include a wide beach of fine white sand running parallel to the Gulf of Thailand, with rows of coconut trees that create a shady atmosphere and are characteristic of Chumphon.
The beach area still reflects the traditional lifestyle of locals, especially around Pak Nam Lamae, a hub for the local fishing community. Visitors can watch small fishing boats coming in and out and purchase fresh seafood directly from the villagers.
Tourists come to Haad Lamae to relax, walk along the beach, swim, during calm water conditions, and to photograph the morning scenery when the sea colors are at their most beautiful. The beach is also suitable for cycling or driving along the coastal road.
