“The spiritual heart of the Saimai community, famous for its merit-making through coffin donations and seeking blessings from the Great Buddha for prosperity.”

Rat Niyom Tham Temple, locally known as Wat Nong Phak Chi, is a long-established temple that has grown alongside the Sai Mai and Saphan Mai communities. It serves as an important spiritual center for residents in the area. The temple grounds are well maintained, clean, and peaceful, making it an ideal place for merit-making, prayer, and quiet reflection.

At the heart of the temple stands an elegant ordination hall (Ubosot), where major religious ceremonies are held. Inside the vihara, visitors can pay respect to a replica of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, one of Thailand’s most revered Buddha images, as well as statues of former abbots. Many devotees come here to pray for prosperity, career success, and personal blessings.

The temple is widely known for its coffin donation and white cloth donation ceremonies to support unclaimed bodies. This charitable act is believed to help ward off misfortune and bring good luck, while also reflecting the temple’s compassionate role in supporting the community.

The grounds are thoughtfully arranged, featuring a large multi-purpose pavilion (Sala) for religious gatherings and Dharma teachings, along with shaded areas under mature trees where visitors can rest comfortably. Annual temple fairs and boundary stone gilding ceremonies are held regularly, demonstrating the strong faith and unity of the local community.

For those interested in Thai architecture and photography, the temple offers beautiful mural paintings and intricate stucco designs around the ordination hall. Morning sunlight illuminating the decorative roof elements creates a serene and powerful atmosphere, perfect for capturing meaningful images while finding inner peace.

With its convenient location and comprehensive facilities for merit-making, Rat Niyom Tham Temple is an ideal destination for spiritual seekers and anyone looking for tranquility. Whether visiting to pray, make merit, resolve astrological concerns, or simply find a peaceful retreat, the temple warmly welcomes all visitors with compassion and grace.
