Song Pan Waterfall is a small waterfall with its own unique beauty, located deep within the forest of Chae Son National Park, approximately 4-5 kilometers away from the main Chae Son Waterfall. The name of the waterfall holds a deep meaning related to the location of Mueang Pan District. Its significance to Lampang Province is being a clean headwater source that remains largely undisturbed by urban development. This allows the ecosystem around the waterfall to maintain high biodiversity, featuring rare plant species and small wildlife that come to feed along the creek.

The uniqueness of Song Pan Waterfall lies in its tranquility and privacy. Since the route to the waterfall is a nature trail that requires trekking on foot only, it has become a destination for serious trekkers and nature students. The waterfall tiers are not very high, but the water flows strong and consistently into a clear basin below, surrounded by boulders covered in lush green moss and lichen. The surrounding atmosphere is shaded by large trees that filter the sunlight into soft rays, creating a scene that is both beautiful and mysterious at the same time.

• By Private Car: Travel to the Chae Son National Park headquarters (Highway 1035 or 1252). From there, you must contact the officers to inquire about the path and the starting point for the trek to Song Pan Waterfall.

• On Foot: It is a nature trekking trail, approximately 4-5 kilometers from the starting point. The path may be slippery and steep in some sections; visitors should be in good physical condition.

• Best Time to Visit: Recommended during the late rainy season to early winter (October - December), as the water volume will be high and the forest will be at its greenest.

• Preparation: Wear trekking shoes with good grip. Prepare drinking water and light snacks (and you must carry all trash back out with you).

• Safety: Always inform the park officers before heading in. It is not recommended to enter during heavy rain due to the risk of flash floods.

• Photography: Prepare moisture-protection gear for your camera, as the area around the waterfall maintains high humidity at all times.
