Wat Khongkaphimuk is a hidden cultural gem in Takua Pa District, with a history dating back to the late Ayutthaya period. The temple is located on lowland along the eastern bank of the Takua Pa Canal, which once served as a key transportation route during the tin mining era. The temple’s architecture reflects the wealth and prosperity of Takua Pa through its elaborate stucco decorations adorning the ordination hall and pagoda, which have been registered as historical monuments by the Fine Arts Department.

The most prominent highlight of the temple is “Phra That Takola,” a grand pagoda with a unique multi-tiered structure featuring layered niches and refined craftsmanship. Inside enshrines sacred Buddha relics, attracting devotees who come to pay respect for good fortune. Within the ordination hall is also the revered Buddha image known as “Por Than Chao Fa,” believed by locals to offer protection and blessings.
