“The 18-armed Guan Yin statue in the water, the large Happy Buddha statue, and the Thai-style temple hall surrounded by a lake, along with fish feeding activities in a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere.”
Wat Plai Laem is an important temple on Koh Samui, outstanding with its blend of Thai-Chinese Buddhist art and its location in the middle of a large lake, creating a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere from the first step in.
The highlight is the 18-armed Guan Yin statue in pure white on a lotus in the water, representing compassion and protection. Alongside is the large golden Happy Buddha statue, a symbol of wealth and fortune, which tourists often come to worship and ask for blessings.
Inside the temple, there is also a Thai-style temple hall in the middle of the water, beautiful with its traditional Thai patterns and reflecting beautifully on the water, ideal for photography, especially in the soft light of the morning and evening.
There is also a fish feeding activity in the sanctuary area, which helps to create enjoyment and peace of mind, making this temple suitable for both merit-makers and tourists who want to relax.
