“Witness a unique geological fault line through the "Bridge Across Time," featuring contrasting rock eras, stunning Andaman coastal views, and one of Satun's most beautiful sunsets.”

Khao To Ngai is situated within the headquarters of Mu Ko Phetra National Park and holds immense significance as a key site within the Satun UNESCO Global Geopark. Geographically, it is a prominent mountain formation protruding into the sea, nestled between Phangka Bay and Pak Bara Bay. Its most distinguished feature, which has garnered international geological interest, is the geological contact point known as the "Time Traveller Zone." This site showcases the convergence of two distinct geological eras separated by over a hundred million years, clearly visible along the coastal cliffs where tectonic movements have miraculously brought these ancient strata together.

Geologically, the contact point at Khao To Ngai consists of "Red Sandstone" from the Tarutao Group, dating back to the Cambrian Period (approximately 541–485 million years ago), meeting with "Grey Limestone" from the Thung Song Group of the Ordovician Period (approximately 485–444 million years ago). The striking contrast in color and texture between the two rock types on a single cliff face serves as definitive evidence of ancient tectonic activities, including continental uplifting and faulting that positioned these rocks from different ages side by side. This natural wonder is accessible via a nature trail featuring wooden and concrete bridges that wind along the mountainside and the shoreline, allowing visitors to examine this rare contact zone up close.

Beyond its geological prestige, the area surrounding Khao To Ngai boasts rich biodiversity. The mountain is covered in limestone scrub and beach forests, providing a habitat for various small wildlife and bird species. Along the walking path, visitors are treated to unique rock formations shaped by centuries of sea and wind erosion, alongside panoramic views of the Andaman Sea and the numerous islands within Mu Ko Phetra National Park. During low tide, shallow-water coral remains and coastal marine life become visible, making Khao To Ngai not only a profound scientific educational site but also a premier destination that perfectly blends natural history with the aesthetic beauty of coastal tourism.
