“An breathtaking photo opportunity on a cliffside hill, offering panoramic sea views and a picturesque staircase leading up to a skyview café.”

Pha Suk Nirun is located on Koh Proet, which is part of Laem Sing District. The island is now connected to the mainland by a bridge, making access relatively easy. This site has been developed as a key viewpoint and landmark of Koh Proet. Situated on a hill overlooking a cliff, it allows visitors to experience an expansive ocean vista and a constant, cool sea breeze.

The key natural feature is the long stretch of rocky cliff face that dramatically meets the turquoise-blue sea, creating a visually impressive landscape. A landmark sign has been installed for souvenir photos, and a scenic staircase runs along the cliff, leading up to the highest point. Here, you will find a Skyview Cafe offering classic, beautiful views of the coastal edge. Many visitors note that the view here is reminiscent of cliff views found in Bali.

The primary activities here are sightseeing and taking photos at the various designated spots. The most recommended time to visit is during sunset, which offers the most spectacular and memorable view. Visitors can explore the viewpoint area, climb the stairs to enjoy the sea air, or relax at the café to soak in the panoramic ocean atmosphere. It’s an opportunity to experience both the local coastal way of life and the natural beauty of Koh Proet.

How to Get There
  • By Private Car: Drive from Chanthaburi city center toward Sukhumvit Road (Bangna-Trat route), pass the Phlio Waterfall entrance, and follow the signs towards Laem Sing District. Then, follow signs towards Nong Chim Sub-District/Koh Proet (which is currently accessible by road bridge from the mainland).

  • Travel within Koh Proet: Once on Koh Proet, drive towards the vicinity of Wat Koh Proet (Koh Proet Temple) or ask for directions to the Pha Suk Nirun Viewpoint. There is a parking area, and the viewpoint is accessible via a walk up a slope, approximately 500 meters.

Travel Tips
  • Best Time to Visit: Late afternoon and early evening (before sunset) are recommended for the best views and to avoid the strongest daylight.

  • Footwear/Gear: Wear comfortable walking shoes, as you will need to walk uphill and use stairs. Bringing water and a hat is also advised.

  • Photography: Be ready to photograph the landmark sign and the open, dramatic cliffside view of the ocean.
