“A natural cliff landscape that captures the sunlight most beautifully, especially during dawn and dusk, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers.”
Pha Sunshine Cliff is situated on a hill on Koh Proet in the Laem Sing District. Although the island is no longer secluded (it's connected to the mainland by road), it retains its scenic coastal beauty. The Pha (cliff) features an open platform on a rocky ledge facing the sea, living up to its name ("Sunshine") by fully embracing the sunlight, making it one of Chanthaburi’s most attractive new destinations.
A natural viewing area and not a historical structure like the nearby French ruins. Its history as a tourist attraction is rooted in its recent development over the past few years. This development was undertaken to capitalize on the steep landscape, maximizing its potential as a panoramic viewpoint. The location is famous for being particularly suited for viewing the sunrise and sunset over the Gulf of Thailand.
Visitors here experience a sense of calmness and a constant sea breeze. The main activities include gazing at the endless ocean vista, taking landscape photographs, and capturing personal photos against the backdrop of the wide-open sky and sea. Pha Sunshine is often linked with a visit to the nearby Pha Suk Nirun, allowing both scenic spots to be covered on the same trip.
