“Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the reservoir reflecting surrounding mountains, and take a leisurely walk along the long dam crest, ideal for photography.”
Khlong Din Daeng Reservoir reflects the royal compassion in providing a sustainable solution to water management for the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat. The reservoir is formed by an earth dam built across Khlong Din Daeng, creating a large water body with a capacity of several million cubic meters.
The most outstanding feature of this place is its scenic landscape. Surrounded by mountain ranges, the view appears grand and refreshing. In the early morning and late afternoon, the road along the dam crest becomes a haven for health enthusiasts who come to walk, jog, or cycle while enjoying the cool breeze.
For photography lovers, there are many beautiful spots, especially the long road stretching along the dam, contrasting with the blue water and green forest. During the rainy season or shortly after rainfall, low-lying mist often drifts along the mountain slopes, creating a romantic atmosphere reminiscent of northern Thailand.
Beyond tourism, this area also serves as an important freshwater fishing source for local communities. In recent years, small cafés and rest areas have begun to appear around the outer zone of the reservoir, offering services to visitors who wish to sit and enjoy the view for extended periods. If you are looking for a spacious, airy place to rest your eyes from long drives or hard work, Khlong Din Daeng Reservoir is highly recommended.
How to Get There

- By public transport: Take a minivan on the Nakhon Si Thammarat – Than Pho or Nakhon Si Thammarat – Chawang route.
