Bang Sawan Emerald Spring (Ban Ang Nam Phut) is a famous natural attraction in Phrasaeng District, Surat Thani Province. It stands out with its clear, emerald-blue pool formed by underground springs emerging naturally through limestone layers (Limestone Spring), making the water exceptionally clear, allowing you to see the sandy bottom clearly. This area was first discovered by Mr. Chiar Tangtang around 1962. In the past, it was called "Khlong Yon Nam Sai" and covered an area of over 179 rai. It is characterized as a natural forest water source with springs scattered in many spots under the water surface, which are the source of the continuous supply of clean water before flowing into Khlong Bang Sawan and nourishing the ecosystem in the surrounding area.

In 2004, the community, led by the village headman and village committee, jointly developed it into a community-based tourism site. The landscape was improved, cleaned, and a wooden bridge and walkway were built around the pool to facilitate tourists while preserving the natural environment as much as possible. This has made it an example of eco-tourism that has resulted from the cooperation of local people.

The ecosystem in this area is interesting because it is a highly fertile peat swamp forest and wetland with aquatic plants, local plants, and small aquatic animals such as native fish living naturally. The constantly flowing water helps maintain the balance of the ecosystem and keeps this water source clean.

Tourists can enjoy a variety of activities such as swimming in the natural pool, kayaking, nature walks, and exploring the spring points in the peat swamp forest, where you can clearly see the water gushing from underground. There are also areas for relaxing, picnicking, and taking photos of the natural scenery, especially during the morning when the sunlight hits the water surface, creating a beautiful emerald color.

In terms of facilities, the area is managed by the community and has local restaurants, a welfare store, restrooms, changing rooms, and a parking lot to accommodate tourists sufficiently. It also generates sustainable income for the local people.
