“This learning center and agricultural tourism destination applies the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and the New Theory to integrated farming. It is a place for relaxation and learning about sustainable agricultural practices in Nakhon Ratchasima Province.”

The Royal Initiative Field Center in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) is not merely a leisure spot but a "large-scale natural classroom" established to perpetuate and disseminate the sustainable agricultural vision of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (Rama IX). This area serves as a model for the implementation of the "Sufficiency Economy Philosophy" and the "New Theory Agriculture" in order to efficiently manage land and water resources.

Visitors to the center will experience true integrated farming, beginning with the land allocation based on the specified ratio: Water Area (30%) used for water storage during dry seasons and as a source for cultivating aquatic life; Rice Paddy Area (30%) dedicated to the primary food crop to ensure food security; Crop/Orchard Area (30%) where various crops, including kitchen gardens, fruit trees, perennial plants, and herbs, are cultivated to mitigate the risks associated with monoculture; and Housing/Farm Structure Area (10%) allocated for accommodation and other agricultural activities.

The center features a wide array of exhibits and engaging activities. You can tour the organic vegetable greenhouses with closed systems, focusing on safe, chemical-free production; demonstration rice fields that teach the cultivation of various rice strains, including organic farming methods; and small-scale livestock enclosures for raising chickens and ducks. These setups showcase resource circulation (animal manure is used for fertilizer). Furthermore, the center offers short courses and workshops for interested individuals on topics such as bio-fermentation liquid production, organic fertilizer creation, mushroom cultivation, or the processing of agricultural produce.

For those seeking relaxation, the center provides numerous leisure areas, including riverside gazebos with views of the lush green paddies, shaded cycling paths surrounded by local flora, and a Green Market. This market allows farmers within the network to sell their high-quality, safe produce directly to consumers. Visitors can thus be confident that the products they purchase are fresh and safe and contribute directly to supporting the stable economy of the local Nakhon Ratchasima community. A visit to this center is more than just tourism; it is an opportunity to absorb the sustainable way of life and the wisdom of self-reliance embraced by the Thai people.
