Wat Phra That Doi Kwang Kham has long been the spiritual center of the people of Thung Hua Chang. It is believed that this sacred Phra That protects and provides peace and happiness to the town. The temple is located on a high mountain peak. The ascent is a concrete road that climbs along the mountain slopes. Along the way, you can enjoy natural views. When you reach the top, you will find a wide Phra That courtyard, a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, ideal for relaxing your mind and meditating.

The temple is a forest temple emphasizing tranquility. The architecture is simple but imbued with the unique local Lanna art, with the outstanding golden Phra That as the center of faith, beautifully contrasting with the backdrop of forests and sky.

How to Get There
  • Private car: From Lamphun city, head towards Thung Hua Chang district, passing Pa Sang district and Ban Hong district. When entering the district, there will be signs to Wat Phra That Doi Kwang Kham clearly marked. The road up the mountain is concrete and quite steep. Use a car with good power and drive carefully.

  • Recommended to come in the early morning to see the first light and the sea of fog.
