“A 4 km long, tranquil beach with shallow, calm waters and views of Koh Phangan. It features shallow coral reefs and rustic seaside seafood restaurants with a friendly atmosphere.”
Bang Por Beach is located in the northern part of Koh Samui, being one of the beaches that still preserves its tranquility and local charm. With a coastline stretching over 4 kilometers, surrounded by coconut palms and casuarina trees that provide shade along the way, it is ideal for relaxing, strolling, or spending chill time by the sea.
The beach has fine, yellowish sand, clear and shallow water with gentle waves, thanks to the coral reefs that help reduce the force of the waves, creating a calm and safe atmosphere in many areas. You can also clearly see Koh Phangan from the beach, a beautiful and unique seascape of this area.
In some areas of the beach, when you go into the water, you will find rocks, corals, and seaweed, which are habitats for small marine animals, ideal for those interested in Snorkeling or closely studying the coastal ecosystem, along with light activities such as kayaking or relaxed swimming.
In addition to its outstanding natural beauty, Bang Por is also a hub for famous seafood restaurants, with local restaurants lining the beach, serving fresh seafood at reasonable prices. Tourists can sit and eat by the sea, enjoying the sunset and listening to the sound of the waves in a relaxed atmosphere.
With its simplicity, tranquility, and preserved traditional way of life, Bang Por Beach is ideal for those seeking relaxation, long-term travelers, and those who want to experience Samui from a natural and uncrowded perspective.
