“A white sandy beach stretching over 1 km, clear water for swimming, a shallow coral reef right off the beach, and a beautiful sunset viewing point with complete facilities.”
Haad Yao (Long Beach) is considered one of the “most perfect” beaches on Koh Phangan. With its crescent-shaped bay surrounded by a stretch of pristine white sand over 1 kilometer long, it offers panoramic sea views. The atmosphere is peaceful yet lively, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Haad Yao is characterized by its soft, fine white sand and clear turquoise waters. The sandy bottom slopes gently, making it easy and safe to swim, suitable for all ages. The water is also relatively calm during the tourist season, making it possible to swim almost year-round.
For those who love the underwater world, this is a prominent snorkeling spot on Koh Phangan. The coral reef is located approximately 30–50 meters from the beach, making it easily accessible. You can see both boulder corals and a variety of marine fish, especially in the rocky area to the north, which is highly fertile.
There are a variety of activities to choose from at Haad Yao, including swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding (SUP), beach yoga, or simply strolling along the beach and enjoying the sea breeze. The wide and clean beach is perfect for both active and relaxing travelers.
In the evening, Haad Yao becomes one of the most beautiful sunset viewing points on Koh Phangan. The sky changes from blue to orange, pink, and gold, reflecting beautifully on the sea, creating a romantic atmosphere with beachfront bars and the gentle sound of the waves.
In terms of facilities, Haad Yao is well-equipped with various levels of resorts, restaurants, cafes, beach bars, massage shops, and water sports equipment rental shops, allowing you to spend a comfortable and convenient vacation throughout the day.
With all these elements combined, Haad Yao is more than just an ordinary beach. It is a destination that combines the beauty of nature, the richness of the underwater world, and the convenience of tourism in one of the most perfect locations on Koh Phangan.
