Haad Yao (Long Beach) is considered one of the “most perfect” beaches on Koh Phangan. With its crescent-shaped bay surrounded by a stretch of pristine white sand over 1 kilometer long, it offers panoramic sea views. The atmosphere is peaceful yet lively, perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Haad Yao is characterized by its soft, fine white sand and clear turquoise waters. The sandy bottom slopes gently, making it easy and safe to swim, suitable for all ages. The water is also relatively calm during the tourist season, making it possible to swim almost year-round.

For those who love the underwater world, this is a prominent snorkeling spot on Koh Phangan. The coral reef is located approximately 30–50 meters from the beach, making it easily accessible. You can see both boulder corals and a variety of marine fish, especially in the rocky area to the north, which is highly fertile.

There are a variety of activities to choose from at Haad Yao, including swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding (SUP), beach yoga, or simply strolling along the beach and enjoying the sea breeze. The wide and clean beach is perfect for both active and relaxing travelers.

In the evening, Haad Yao becomes one of the most beautiful sunset viewing points on Koh Phangan. The sky changes from blue to orange, pink, and gold, reflecting beautifully on the sea, creating a romantic atmosphere with beachfront bars and the gentle sound of the waves.

• Car/Motorbike: From Thong Sala Pier, head north past Haad Hin Kong and Sri Thanu. The distance is approximately 10–12 kilometers, taking 20–25 minutes. The road is concrete all the way.

• The best snorkeling spot is on the north side of the beach, near the rocky area.

• Arrive before 5:30 PM to fully enjoy the sunset.

• The sea is calmest and clearest from December to April.

• Avoid stepping on the coral and use Reef Safe sunscreen.

• Snorkeling equipment, kayaks, and SUPs can be rented on the beach.
