“Experience the Hmong way of life in the "Pink Village" during winter, explore the Dek Doi Market to taste local delicacies, and enjoy stunning sea of mist views from surrounding viewpoints.”

Ban Rong Kla Village is a small village tucked away in a valley within Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. Sitting at about 1,400 meters above sea level, the village enjoys cool and refreshing weather all year, turning freezing during the winter months. This village is home to the Hmong hill tribe people who settled here after the historical conflicts ended. Today, Ban Rong Kla has become a popular destination for travelers. Beyond its simple and friendly lifestyle, it serves as the main gateway to Phu Lom Lo the largest field of Wild Himalayan Cherry blossoms in Thailand making the village extra lively at the beginning of every year.

One of the most interesting things to see when arriving at Ban Rong Kla is the Hill Tribe Kids Market. This small market features local villagers and children selling agricultural products, such as fresh strawberries picked straight from the farm, crisp winter vegetables, persimmons, and various nuts. There are also local dishes you must try, like Khao Boe (Hmong traditional porridge) or warm grilled yams that help fight off the cold. The unique charm of this market is the little shopkeepers schoolchildren from the village dressed in colorful Hmong traditional outfits, welcoming tourists with bright smiles, making the shopping experience truly adorable and friendly.

For photography lovers, from January to February, the entire village of Ban Rong Kla transforms into a Pink Village. Wild Himalayan Cherry trees planted around houses and along the roads burst into full bloom, creating a soft pink hue everywhere you look. There are also notable viewpoints like Pa Rong Kla Temple, located on a high hill, which offers a bird's-eye view of the village surrounded by mountains and mist. If you have the chance to stay overnight, you will experience the peaceful night atmosphere under a star-filled sky and wake up to find Mae Kha Ning (frost) on exceptionally cold days.

Ban Rong Kla also offers interesting agro-tourism activities, such as visiting strawberry farms where you can try picking the bright red fruits directly from the plants. You can also support local handicrafts like Hmong embroidery, which is delicate and features unique, beautiful patterns. A visit to Ban Rong Kla is more than just a pit stop on the way to Phu Lom Lo; it is a chance to absorb a simple way of life amidst pure nature, relax in a local homestay, and recharge with positive energy from the smiles of the Rong Kla Hmong people before heading home.
