“Hin Dat Waterfall is a challenging 12-tiered waterfall that requires a deep jungle hike. The forest remains highly pristine and features one of the largest cardamom forests in the region, with the most stunning scenery found at Tiers 9 to 12, making it a perfect spot for true nature lovers and adventurers.”

Hin Dat Waterfall is located along the Hin Dat Stream on the Southern Khao Soi Dao Range, situated within an area that remains a highly intact evergreen rainforest surrounded by diverse flora. The waterfall is massive, cascading down 12 tiers with an approximate total height_ of 20 meters. A key feature is that the waterfall maintains its water supply throughout the year. The most beautiful scenery and the ultimate destination for the trek are found at Waterfall Tiers 9 to 12.

The area around Hin Dat Waterfall is home to the largest Cardamom forest in the Khao Soi Dao region, which is an important local economic crop. Historically, the trail to the waterfall was the same path used by local villagers to transport cardamom, so along the way, visitors may still encounter locals carrying cardamom, as well as temporary shelters used by villagers, reflecting the traditional way of life integrated with nature.

The journey to Hin Dat Waterfall is considered an adventurous trek, requiring a relatively long walk. The trail is characterized by being very slippery and steep, making it highly suitable for hiking enthusiasts with good physical fitness. Crucially, travel to the waterfall must be accompanied by a local guide for safety reasons and to ensure proper conduct within the area's regulations.

The trekking distance from the parking area to the waterfall is approximately 3 kilometers, totaling around 6 kilometers round trip. The hike itself takes approximately 3-4 hours (excluding rest and swimming time). Those interested must contact and register with the local authorities prior to their trip.
