“Crystal-clear emerald waters meet powdery white sand with a serene shallow lagoon and stunning rock viewpoints, making this "Queen of Satun" the ultimate photography spot.”

Rokroy Island, often colloquially referred to by locals as "Koh Rang Nok" (Bird's Nest Island), is a pristine gem located within the Tarutao National Marine Park in Satun Province. Geographically, it is part of the Adang-Rawi Archipelago. The island is characterized by its small granite structure and a unique white sand spit that extends into a shallow reef zone. One of its most distinctive physical features is the "Natural Lagoon" created by the strategic alignment of neighboring islands, which shields the area from strong currents and waves. This creates a vast, mirror-like expanse of emerald water that remains tranquil and crystal-clear throughout the day, allowing visitors to see the rippled sand patterns and small schools of fish from the boat's edge.

The beach at Koh Rokroy is relatively short but renowned for its exceptionally fine, powdery white sand, a result of the natural erosion of local coral and seashells. For photography enthusiasts, the island's eastern flank features a jagged rock formation that serves as a makeshift viewpoint. After a short scramble up the rocks, visitors are rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic vista showcasing the dramatic gradient of the sea—shifting from pale turquoise near the shore to a deep, royal blue in the outer depths. A small wooden pavilion provided by the National Park stands atop these rocks, offering a shaded spot to experience the refreshing sea breeze and the island’s serene atmosphere.

Ecologically, while Koh Rokroy is not the primary site for deep-sea snorkeling compared to Jabang Pinnacle or Koh Hin Son, it serves as a crucial nursery for juvenile marine life and a resting ground for various sea birds. The shallow waters surrounding the island are teeming with Sergeant Major fish and Needlefish, alongside scattered colonies of staghorn and pore corals. There are no commercial facilities, accommodations, or restaurants on the island, as the National Park maintains a strict conservation policy. This lack of development ensures that Koh Rokroy remains an untouched sanctuary, offering a peaceful escape and unparalleled natural beauty for those venturing on the "Outer Zone" tours of the Lipe region.
