Koh Samed is one of the small islands in the Chumphon Sea, located near the mouth of Chumphon River. It is only about 2 kilometers from Faradonphap Beach, making it one of the most easily accessible islands in Chumphon Province.

The beach on the island is gently curved and slightly sloping, featuring white sand and clear water—ideal for relaxing in a very private atmosphere. There is only one accommodation available on the island, ChumphonSamedIslandResort, which offers room packages including snorkeling tours and other water activities.

Outdoor enthusiasts can kayakaroundtheisland, snorkeltoexplorecoralreefs near the shore, or enjoy fishing in the evening. From the island, visitors can also view the surrounding mountains and the Chumphon coastline clearly, making it a favorite retreat for those seeking tranquility and pure nature.

• By private car: Drive from Chumphon town toward Paknam Chumphon or Faradonphap Beach. Parking is available near the beach or nearby piers. From there, take a small passenger boat or the resort’s boat to the island. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes.

• By public transport: Arrive at Chumphon Provincial Bus Terminal or Chumphon Railway Station, then take a local songthaew, taxi, or motorcycle taxi to Faradonphap Beach. If you have booked accommodation with the resort, they will arrange a boat transfer from the designated pier.

• If you plan to stay overnight, it is recommended to book the accommodation and boat transfer in advance, as there is only one resort on the island.

• The island is perfect for snorkelingkayaking and relaxing along the beach.

• KohSamedChumphon is quiet and not crowded—unlike the more famous Koh Samed in Rayong.

• Bring drinking water and personal necessities, as shops on the island are limited.

• Check the boat schedules (departing and returning) to plan your trip accordingly.
