“Koh Tae Nok boasts clear, pristine waters, a thriving shallow coral reef, and a peaceful, undeveloped atmosphere, ideal for kayaking and snorkeling.”
Koh Tae Nok is a small island that remains remarkably unspoiled, located just a few kilometers from the shores of Thong Sala, yet offering a world-away experience. With no buildings or inhabitants, it offers exceptional peace and privacy, perfect for a slow-paced getaway with 360-degree ocean views and, on clear days, glimpses of Koh Samui.
Topography and Beaches
The island is a small limestone formation with short beaches covered in fine, white sand interspersed with rocky outcrops. The water is shallow and exceptionally clear, especially at low tide when the sandy bottom and rock formations are clearly visible, making it ideal for swimming and exploring the coastline.
A Rich Underwater World
The island is surrounded by a shallow coral reef and diverse marine life, making it easy to snorkel right from the beach. The clear water and sunlight penetration allow for excellent visibility of schools of fish, perfect for both beginners and experienced snorkelers.
Activities and Experiences
A highlight is kayaking from Thong Sala or Haad Rin Nok, passing Koh Tae Nai on the way to Koh Tae Nok, a popular route. Once there, you can relax, swim, snorkel, picnic on the beach, and enjoy stunning sunsets over the sea.
