Haad Rin Rock Viewpoint (Viewpoint South) is a hidden gem tucked away above the bustling Haad Rin on Koh Phangan. While the beach below may be crowded, the summit offers tranquility and sweeping panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand.

Twin Bay Spectacle
The highlight is the ability to see Haad Rin Nok (Sunrise Beach) and Haad Rin Nai (Sunset Beach) curving towards each other like an hourglass from a high vantage point. This is one of the few spots on Koh Phangan where you can simultaneously enjoy 360-degree views of both beaches.

The Giant’s Throne – Natural Breeze Terrace
The unique feature here is the giant rock on the summit, which serves as a natural breeze terrace. The sea breeze is strong and pleasantly cool throughout the day. Tourists enjoy climbing up to take photos, relax, and enjoy unobstructed high-angle views all around.

Adventurous Shortcut – A Short but Thrilling Route
The ascent is a semi-adventurous hike, approximately 500–800 meters, taking 20–30 minutes. Although the distance is not far, there are steep sections and a mix of rocky and earthen terrain. Along the way, you will experience nature, including granite boulders, low-lying forests, and small animals, adding fun to the journey.

The Full Moon Afterglow – A Quiet Spot Before the Bustle
During the Full Moon nights, if you come up in the evening before the party starts, you will see the lights from Haad Rin gradually brighten, accompanied by a peaceful atmosphere above. It’s a completely different perspective from the excitement below.

• By Foot: Start from the end of Haad Rin Nai (Sunset Beach). The hike takes approximately 20–30 minutes.

• Wear non-slip shoes or sneakers.

• Bring enough drinking water.

• We recommend going up between 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM.

• Bring mosquito repellent.

• Avoid going during rain or slippery conditions.

• Free admission (there might be a small access fee of 20–40 baht at certain times).

• Open Daily: 5:00 AM – 7:30 PM (it is recommended to descend before dark).
