Koh Thonglang is one of the satellite islands of Mu Ko Chumphon National Park and is popular among travelers seeking pristine nature and a quiet atmosphere. The island is not very large and has no permanent community, allowing both the island’s landscape and marine life to remain well preserved.

Around the island are famousdiving spots, suitable for both snorkeling and scuba diving to admire various types of coral reefs, such as staghorn coral, plate coral, and schools of colorful fish. In addition, the island has only one small beach where visitors can relax, featuring clear waters and gentle waves.

Koh Thonglang is also a popular camping spot for visitors who want to stay overnight and experience nature at night (all equipment and necessities must be brought by yourself). Most visitors arrive via a one-day diving tour that includes multiple islands within the Chumphon Archipelago.

• Private car: From Bangkok, take Highway No. 4 (Phetkasem Road) toward Chumphon. From the city center, continue driving to Sawi Sai Ri Beach or Sai Ri Beach Pier, which are the main departure points for tour boats and private charters heading to Koh Thonglang.

• Public transport: Take a bus to the Chumphon Bus Terminal or a train to the Chumphon Railway Station, then transfer to a local songthaew or taxi to Sai Ri Beach Pier to catch a boat to Koh Thonglang. You can choose between one-day snorkeling tour packages or private boat charters from operators at the pier (travel time is around 40 minutes – 1 hour).
