Ko Thonglang is one of the small islands under Mu Ko Chumphon National Park, popular among travelers looking for a quiet and pristine retreat. The island has no permanent community, allowing both its terrestrial and marine ecosystems to remain in excellent condition.

Surrounding the island are some of the best snorkeling and diving spots in Chumphon, featuring vibrant coral reefs such as staghorn and table corals, along with schools of colorful tropical fish. The island has a single small beach with calm waves and clear waters, suitable for swimming and relaxing.

Ko Thonglang is also a favorite spot for campers, especially those who wish to spend the night under the stars and enjoy the peaceful seaside ambiance (campers must bring their own supplies and equipment). Most visitors join one-day snorkeling tours that include several other islands within the Chumphon Archipelago.

• By Private Car: From Bangkok, take Highway No. 4 (Phetkasem Road) toward Chumphon. From the city, continue to Hat Sai Ri Sawi or Hat Sai Ri Pier, where most tour boats and private charters depart for Ko Thonglang.

• By Public Transport: Take a bus or train to Chumphon Bus Terminal or Chumphon Railway Station. From there, take a local taxi or songthaew to Hat Sai Ri Pier. You can join a day-trip snorkeling tour or hire a private boat charter to the island. The boat trip takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour.

• Check the weather forecast before planning your trip.

• If camping, bring all essential supplies such as fresh water, food, and tents — and take all garbage back to the mainland.

• Pay the national park entrance fee at the registration point before departing from the mainland.
