Nam Min Waterfall is part of Nam Min Waterfall Forest Park, which covers an extensive area of pristine forest, including mountain rainforest and mixed deciduous forest. The waterfall is formed by the Nam Min stream, flowing from high mountains along the Phayao–Nan border. It has water throughout the year, making it an important natural water source for the local area.
