Phu Langka Viewpoint in Nan is located along Highway No. 1148, within Song Khwae District, en route to Pong District in Phayao Province. The road offers spectacular scenery, with a clear view of the rolling mountain ridges stretching endlessly into the horizon. This has made Phu Langka one of the most popular spots for photography and sightseeing, known for its peaceful and romantic atmosphere.

Although there isn’t a dedicated parking area, visitors can stop briefly to take photos—but should do so cautiously. The viewpoint is surrounded by mountains and often covered in thick morning fog during the cool season. In winter, especially during sunrise and sunset, the area offers cool weather and a dreamy landscape blanketed in mist.

From October to February, Phu Langka is at its most beautiful. This is the ideal time to witness the sea of mist at dawn and the golden glow of the sunset in the evening. Nearby, there are small cafés and homestays offering cozy accommodations with panoramic views—perfect for those seeking peace and connection with nature.

• From Nan city, take Highway No. 1081 toward Song Khwae District, then continue on Highway No. 1148 to reach Phu Langka Viewpoint. The total distance is about 120 kilometers and takes roughly 3 hours by car. The road is winding and steep in some areas, so drive carefully.

• The best time to visit is October to February for the most beautiful mist views.

• Bring warm clothes—temperatures can drop below 10°C in the early morning.

• Stay overnight near the viewpoint to catch the sunrise at dawn.
