A-FACTORY blends modern creativity with the authentic charm of Aomori’s agricultural roots. Located in a stylish warehouse-like building on the coast just north of Aomori Station, this facility is more than just a juice factory — it’s a showcase of the region’s identity. Supported by JR East Railway, A-FACTORY was established to promote local product distribution across Japan, aligning with the Shinkansen extension to Aomori and the grand opening of Shin-Aomori Station on December 4, 2010.

Inside, visitors can view the full apple juice and cidre production process through expansive observation windows. The facility produces a range of beverages — from sweet (3% alcohol), standard (5%), and dry (7%) apple cidre to a non-alcoholic Apple Soda, making it enjoyable for everyone, including drivers and children. All beverages are made from premium Fuji and Jonathan apples, grown in local orchards and known as signature crops from Japan’s “Apple Kingdom.”

A-FACTORY also houses a market-style shop filled with high-quality local specialties, including fresh produce, processed agricultural and seafood items, chocolates, and a curated selection of apple liquor, sake, and wines from across the prefecture — perfect for unique, memorable souvenirs.

To complete the experience, A-FACTORY features a restaurant offering dishes made from seasonal Aomori ingredients. Enjoy sushi, sashimi, donburi (raw fish rice bowls), stir-fried dishes, and even pizza, all paired beautifully with homemade desserts and pastries that will leave a sweet impression.
