“Traditional Victorian building The town hall remains the center of local government in Carlow.”
Town Hall
In March 1886 Carlow Town
Commissioners officially opened their newly constructed Town Hall. For over one hundred and twenty years the Town Hall continues to be at the centre of local government administration in Carlow. The Town Hall was constructed to the plans of architect William Hague, Dublin. During 2005 - '06 Carlow Town Council refurbished the building including the repairing of the original old gas lamp to working order which is located over the front door.
