“A clever urban park that transforms expressway space into a modern activity hub and jogging track, featuring cool industrial-style photo ops.”
Suksawat Ring Road Park has become a “new green lung” for residents of Rat Burana and nearby neighborhoods. The park is cleverly developed beneath the elevated Suksawat Expressway and the Industrial Ring Road, transforming what was once unused concrete space into a vibrant urban green area.
The park is shaded by mature trees and well-maintained lawns, helping to soften the noise and bustle of surrounding traffic. It offers visitors a refreshing escape within a heavily urbanized environment — a creative example of how infrastructure space can be repurposed for community benefit.
Its main attraction is the wide jogging and walking track, which has made the park a popular running spot for Thonburi residents and those from nearby Phra Pradaeng. In the evenings, the park comes alive with families strolling together, children playing on the grass, and fitness enthusiasts using the outdoor exercise equipment installed throughout the area.
For photographers and content creators, the park provides a distinctive modern industrial backdrop. The steel and concrete structures of the elevated roadway contrast strikingly with the greenery below. During golden hour, warm sunlight filters through the gaps in the structure, casting dramatic light and shadow patterns across the lawn and pathways — perfect for portrait and street-style photography.
Facilities are well provided, including a clock tower landmark that serves as a convenient meeting point, spacious parking areas, and regular maintenance to ensure cleanliness and safety. The overall atmosphere feels secure, welcoming, and suitable for visitors of all ages.
More than just an exercise space, Suksawat Ring Road Park serves as a community hub — a place where urban design, recreation, and neighborhood connection come together harmoniously.
