“2-3 km long, peaceful sandy beach, shady pine trees along the beach, traditional fishing village lifestyle of harvesting fresh seafood, and panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand with visible islands on clear days.”
Niyom Beach is a beach along the eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand, located in Takrob Village, Moo 2, Takrob Subdistrict, Chaiya District, Surat Thani. It features a sandy beach approximately 2–3 kilometers long, connecting to Sai Kaew Beach to the north and Nai Amphoe Beach to the south, creating a beautifully continuous natural coastline.
Facing the Gulf of Thailand to the east, on clear days you can clearly see groups of islands in the sea, especially during the morning and evening when the sunlight reflects beautifully on the water, making it ideal for photography and enjoying the natural scenery.
Along the beach, you can also find local fishermen going out to sea in the early morning, and on some days they sell fresh seafood such as shellfish, crabs, and fish directly, allowing tourists to experience the traditional lifestyle of the coastal community up close.
The surrounding area has local restaurants and small accommodations, suitable for those seeking peace, privacy, and an authentic natural atmosphere, without large buildings obstructing the view.
Historically, it is said that Ajarn Niyom Chueaphram, the former director of Ban Takrob School, encouraged villagers to plant pine trees along the beach, creating a shady pine tree line. Although some have died over time, replanting continues, making it a unique feature of the area and the origin of the name "Niyom Beach."
For tourists, it is recommended to visit when the sea is calm, allowing you to walk comfortably on the sandy beach, perfect for Slow Life relaxation, picnics under the pine trees, sunset photography, and running along the beach.
Activities: Suitable for relaxing, walking along the beach, taking photos, and enjoying the sea breeze in a Slow Life manner.
