Maha Chesadabodindranusorn Bridge (Maha Chesadabodindranusorn Bridge) is an important infrastructure project of Nonthaburi Province under the supervision of the Department of Rural Roads. It was designed and constructed to solve traffic congestion across the Chao Phraya River in central Nonthaburi and connecting areas to western Bangkok, playing a key role in urban expansion and modern transportation systems.

The bridge has a total length of approximately 4.3 kilometers. It is an Extradosed Bridge, a hybrid between a box girder concrete bridge and a cable-stayed bridge. The design concept emphasizes both structural strength and architectural beauty. The tall pylons are prominently designed, and the golden cables are symmetrically arranged, reflecting a blend of modern engineering and Thai contemporary art.

In terms of engineering, the bridge functions as a major transportation network distributing traffic from Nonthaburi 1 Road and Ratchaphruek Road. It helps reduce congestion on existing routes and improves connectivity between western Bangkok and Nonthaburi, directly supporting economic development and regional mobility.

In terms of landscape, the bridge is located along a scenic curve of the Chao Phraya River, offering panoramic views of the river, riverside communities, and traditional local lifestyles. Especially during sunset and nighttime when the bridge lighting is turned on, reflections on the water create a distinctive and iconic view, making it a popular photography spot.

Popular photo locations include the Chalerm Kanchanaphisek Park (Bang Sri Mueang side) and riverside restaurants under the bridge, where visitors can capture wide and close-up shots of the structure, including drone perspectives highlighting its architectural scale.

In addition, the bridge has been used as a filming location for movies, TV dramas, and commercials due to its unique architectural identity that blends modern design with Thai cultural aesthetics, making it one of Nonthaburi’s key contemporary landmarks.
