“A classic architectural structure located at a major intersection, serving as a photo spot and the center for main city festivals in Trang.”
Trang Clock Tower not only tells the time but also carries historical significance connected to the lifestyle of Trang residents in the past. Originally, this site was the location of the municipal signal tower, known by locals as the “Talkable Tower” (Talkable Tower) used to announce important news in the era before radio and television were widespread.
Later, in 1961 (B.E. 2504), the structure was renovated and transformed into the clock tower seen today, featuring elegant and classic architecture. Its location in the middle of a large roundabout near the City Hall made it the city center and a major meeting point for locals.
Additionally, it serves as the main venue for provincial events, including New Year’s Eve Countdown and local food festivals.
Today, Trang Clock Tower is not only a cultural landmark but also a popular photo spot for tourists. With beautiful nighttime illumination and color-changing lights, it also hosts cultural and artistic activities, such as outdoor music performances and local exhibitions. The tower represents not just a symbol but the heart of the community and life in Trang city.
