Tanjung Rhu Beach is located on the northeastern tip of Langkawi Island. Its name derives from the Casuarina trees lining the shore: “Pantai” means beach, “Tanjung” means cape, and “Rhu” refers to the Casuarina tree.

The accessible portion of the beach is 450 meters long, while the remaining area belongs to two luxury resorts: Tanjung Rhu Resort and Four Seasons. The calm, clear waters are perfect for swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, or simply enjoying the view.

Visitors can take boat trips from the beach jetty to the Kilim Geoforest Park and mangroves, or rent a motorboat to explore nearby islands. The legendary Gua Cherita limestone cave is also reachable by boat. Tanjung Rhu is a popular spot for watching the sunset, and sunbeds and jet skis are available for rent.
