Jambatan Tuanku Syed Putra, popularly known as the Rainbow Bridge, is located in Kuala Perlis, Malaysia. Completed in November 2013, this bridge connects Kampung Seberang Tok Pi and Kampung Hujung Tanjung, Seberang Ramai with the main town of Kuala Perlis. It was designed by the Civil, Structural, and Bridge Engineering Division of the Public Works Department of Malaysia (JKR), combining strong construction with a distinctive rainbow-inspired color scheme. This design has transformed the bridge into a modern landmark and a point of pride for the local community.

The surrounding area offers a relaxing natural atmosphere where visitors can enjoy scenic river views and watch local fishing boats passing by. The bridge has become a favorite photo spot for both locals and travelers, especially during sunset when the colors of the bridge glow against the golden sky. Its unique charm makes it not only a functional crossing but also an attractive leisure destination in Perlis.

• The bridge is only a few minutes’ drive from Kuala Perlis Jetty, the main gateway to Langkawi Island. Visitors arriving from Alor Setar can drive via Federal Route 7, reaching Kuala Perlis in about one hour. For convenience, parking is available near the bridge, opposite the ferry terminal side. Taxis and local transport within Kuala Perlis also provide easy access to the bridge.

• Visit in the late afternoon or around sunset for the most picturesque views. After rain, the vibrant rainbow colors of the bridge stand out beautifully against the sky.
