“A crescent-shaped hidden gem featuring crystal-clear waters, powdery white sand, and serene privacy. Surrounded by lush nature, it is perfect for snorkeling and peaceful relaxation.”

Banana Beach Phuket, also known as "Banana Beach," is a small beach on the northwest coast of Phuket, situated between Layan Beach and Nai Thon Beach. Its distinctive feature is its crescent-shaped bay, resembling a banana, approximately 150-200 meters long. It's surrounded on both sides by mountains, forests, and rocks, a landscape that shields it from waves and wind, making it more private than some of Phuket's more famous beaches.

In the past, Banana Beach was considered a "secret beach," difficult to access due to the steep downhill walk through natural terrain. This resulted in fewer tourists and a preservation of its natural beauty. However, in recent years, development has improved the area, including the addition of parking, restaurants, and basic amenities, making it more accessible and leading to an increase in tourists, especially during peak season.

The beach features fine white sand interspersed with rocks. The central part of the bay is ideal for swimming due to its smooth sand and few underwater rocks. The ends of the bay, however, have rocks and underwater reefs, providing a habitat for small marine life, including various fish, making these areas more suitable for snorkeling than swimming.

The marine ecosystem around Banana Beach is considered relatively intact. Especially during the calm waters of the tourist season (November–April), the sea is so clear that you can see the sandy bottom and marine life from the surface. At times, underwater visibility reaches as high as 10–15 meters, allowing tourists to see numerous tropical fish near the shore, as well as small coral reefs scattered among the rocks.

Another key highlight is the surrounding atmosphere, which retains a high degree of natural beauty. The beach is covered with large trees and coastal forest, providing shade along its entire length. This contrasts with many beaches in Phuket that have been fully developed into commercial areas. Tourists can therefore relax in a tranquil atmosphere, fully enjoying the sound of the waves and the natural surroundings.

Although Banana Beach is no longer a "secret beach" as it once was, it remains one of the quieter beaches than the main beaches like Patong or Kata, especially in the early morning before tourists arrive. This time is considered the best time to experience the beach's true beauty, in terms of natural light, clear water, and peaceful atmosphere.
