“The Land of Three Cultures and Three Seas — a tranquil cape surrounded by limestone mountains and authentic local life.”

Laem Sak Cape is located in Laem Sak Subdistrict, Ao Luek District, Krabi Province. This cape stretches into the Andaman Sea and is surrounded by water on three sides, offering a spectacular view of towering limestone cliffs and serene coastal scenery. It’s a peaceful and picturesque spot ideal for nature lovers and photographers.

Beyond its stunning landscape, Laem Sak is known for its cultural diversity — three ethnic and religious groups have lived here together in harmony for centuries: Thai Buddhists, Thai Muslims, and Thai-Chinese (Baba-Nyonya). Visitors can explore Wat Mahathat Laem Sak, which offers panoramic views from its stupa, or visit the Sok Pho Si Ea Chinese Shrine, a century-old heritage temple located on a hill overlooking the sea.

Popular activities include longtail boat tours to see prehistoric cave paintings — estimated to be around 3,000 years old — and exploring nearby islets and limestone cliffs such as Khao Lek Khon, a unique rock formation resembling a nail, which has become a local landmark. During low tide, visitors can walk along Tuk Na Sai, a sand and mudflat that reveals a 360-degree view of the sea and mountains.

Laem Sak Cape is also known for its local cuisine and handmade products — don’t miss the “shrimp paste fried rice,” “Ko Zui dessert,” and fresh sea grapes. Tourists can also participate in community workshops, such as making shrimp paste, painting batik fabrics, or learning traditional fishing and aquaculture practices.

Tourism in this area is managed by the Laem Sak Community-Based Tourism Enterprise, which promotes CBT (Community-Based Tourism) focused on sustainability and environmental friendliness. It’s an ideal place for travelers seeking an authentic cultural and ecological experience in southern Thailand.
