“It is home to a wide variety of rare and endangered bird species, particularly Indonesia’s native birds that are at risk of extinction, supported by highly successful breeding programs.”

Bali Bird Park is spread across more than 2 hectares and is designed as a tropical botanical garden that recreates the natural habitats of birds from different continents. Over 1,300 birds from 250 species reside here, including birds from Indonesia, Africa, South America, and Australia. The park is recognized as one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of Indonesian avifauna globally.

The park places a strong emphasis on the conservation of endangered species, operating an on-site breeding, research, and veterinary center. Notable programs include the successful breeding of rare birds like the Bird of Paradise and the Hornbill. Exhibits are divided geographically, allowing visitors to explore birds in diverse environments, from the rainforests of Papua to the African savanna, with many birds flying freely in expansive, open aviaries.

The environment within Bali Bird Park is shady and rich with tropical flora, featuring over 52 species of palm trees and various rainforest fruit trees, making it an impressive botanical setting as well as a bird sanctuary. Daily bird shows, such as the Free Flight Show, and feeding sessions provide valuable opportunities for visitors to get close and learn about the birds' natural behaviors.

In addition to the bird exhibits, the park also houses the Bali Reptile Park within the same complex, adding a dimension of learning about Indonesia's diverse biodiversity. A visit here is an educational and entertaining blend of wildlife and ecosystem studies. Your presence directly supports the park's global conservation efforts.
