Nakalay Beach is located on the west coast of Phuket, about 4 kilometers north of Patong Beach and just before Kamala Beach. Although the beach itself is legally public, most land access routes pass through resort property, giving it a secluded and private feel. Visitors who are not staying at the resort may still reach the beach by requesting entry through the resort’s restaurant or bar, or by arriving by long-tail boat from nearby beaches like Patong or Kamala.

The beach stretches around 500 meters with soft light-colored sand mixed with coral fragments and small pebbles. The water is shallow, especially at low tide, revealing rock and coral formations that make swimming limited but create perfect conditions for snorkeling. The area around the long wooden pier that extends into the sea is particularly scenic and popular for photos.

• From Patong or Kamala Beach, drive along Phuket’s west coast road for about 10–15 minutes to reach Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa — the main access point to the beach.

• If you are not staying at the resort, you can take a long-tail boat from nearby beaches such as Patong or Kamala directly to Nakalay Beach.

• Wear water shoes when exploring the beach, as the shoreline contains rocks and coral pieces.

• The best time to visit is during high tide when swimming is easier and the water appears clearer.

• The pier is one of the best spots for photography, especially during sunset.
