Natma Taung National Park, also known as Mount Victoria, is a natural gem located in the heart of Chin State in western Myanmar. It covers approximately 718.5 square kilometers (448,800 rai). Natma Taung is the highest peak in the park and Chin State, reaching 3,053 meters (10,016 feet), making it the third-highest peak in Myanmar.

Forests and Flora: The park serves as a watershed for several rivers and boasts a rich montane ecosystem, divided into several zones according to altitude, ranging from rainforests and pine forests to highland grasslands. The park's highlight is the rhododendron, which blooms beautifully in spring. Several endemic species, including unique wild orchids, are also found.

Birds and Wildlife: The park is a birdwatcher's paradise. With at least 159 species recorded, the area is designated as an Important Bird Area due to its habitat for endemic birds of the Chin-Arakan Mountains, including five rare species, such as the Brown Nottonette and the Indian Tuskegee.
Chin Tribal Culture

Guardians of the Mountains: The area surrounding the park is home to the Chin ethnic group, an ethnic group with an ancient and distinctive culture. Visiting the park offers an opportunity to experience their traditional way of life.

Facial Tattoos: The most recognizable cultural symbol of Chin subgroups, such as the Yin Du, is the face tattoos worn by women, whose designs vary from village to village. Although this tradition has been abandoned by the younger generation, older women can still be found preserving these tattoos.

Traditional Drinks: Visitors can sample "sorghum beer," a traditional alcoholic beverage made from fermented sorghum. It is an important part of the tribe's social ceremonies and celebrations.
How to Get There

Take a 4WD to Kanpetlet or Mindat, which takes 4–6 hours.

From Kanpetlet, you can rent a 4WD to take the Victoria Peak Trail up.

It's a 30–45 minute walk to the summit.
