“Observe the "Tarsier," one of the smallest primates in the world. Learn about the conservation of endangered species. Nature trails in shady forests. Educational center and small museum. Beautiful natural photo spots.”

The Bohol Tarsier Sanctuary is located in the town of Corella, Bohol Island. The Tarsier Sanctuary is a protected forest area established to conserve the Philippine Tarsier, one of the smallest primates in the world. It covers several hectares of natural forest, allowing them to live freely and undisturbed.

The sanctuary was founded to prevent habitat destruction, poaching, and wildlife trade. It promotes knowledge and eco-tourism to raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity. Visitors can quietly walk along the wooden pathways amidst the dense canopy of trees.

The Philippine Tarsier has large, round eyes that aid in night vision and can rotate its head nearly 180 degrees. Despite being only 10–15 centimeters in size, it can leap several meters from one branch to another, making observing them an impressive experience for wildlife enthusiasts.

Inside the visitor center, there are exhibitions and explanations detailing the tarsier’s life cycle, diet, and conservation efforts, as well as strict guidelines to prevent stress to the animals. The facility operates under rigorous measures to maintain the natural environment in its most complete state.

In addition to viewing this rare animal, the quiet forest trails and natural atmosphere of the sanctuary truly allow visitors to relax peacefully and learn the value of nature.
