“Three-tiered waterfall with turquoise blue pools Popular for canyoneering, swimming, and rafting Lush tropical surroundings and scenic river trails Family-friendly picnic spots and bamboo rafts Located near Moalboal’s diving and beach areas”

Kawasan Falls is one of Cebu’s natural jewels, located in the town of Badian, about 130 kilometers southwest of Cebu City. The journey to the falls includes a 20-minute scenic walk along the Matutinao River, surrounded by tropical greenery and clear streams.

The waterfall is made up of three tiers, each with its own deep, turquoise pool. The first and largest tier is the most visited, where visitors can swim, rent bamboo rafts, or simply relax by the refreshing water. The second and third levels are quieter, ideal for those seeking a more peaceful experience.

Kawasan Falls is also the main highlight of the famous canyoneering adventure in Badian. Participants start upstream, jumping off cliffs, sliding down rocks, and swimming through narrow gorges before reaching the main waterfall—a thrilling experience for adventure lovers.

Aside from adventure, the area is well-maintained and eco-friendly. Local guides ensure that safety and environmental conservation are prioritized. Visitors can also find small restaurants and cottages around the area, perfect for a day trip.

Kawasan’s unique beauty—its clear blue water framed by lush greenery—has made it one of the most photographed destinations in the Philippines. It remains a must-visit spot for both thrill-seekers and those looking to enjoy the peaceful side of Cebu’s natural wonders.
