Aliwagwag Falls is one of the most remarkable natural wonders in Davao Oriental, located deep within the rainforests of Cateel. The waterfall consists of over 130 natural rock tiers formed over thousands of years, creating a breathtaking stair-like cascade that mesmerizes every visitor.
With an overall height_ of approximately 340 meters and spanning more than 1.2 kilometers, Aliwagwag Falls showcases crystal-clear waters flowing gracefully over limestone formations. Its turquoise pools invite visitors to swim and enjoy the cool, refreshing ambiance of the jungle.
The surrounding area is protected as the “Aliwagwag Falls Eco Park,” dedicated to environmental preservation and sustainable tourism. Within the park are hanging bridges, viewing decks, and adventure activities such as ziplining and the thrilling “Skycycle,” which lets visitors pedal across the air above the falls.
There are picnic areas, food stalls, and camping spaces near the waterfalls, offering visitors a chance to spend the night close to nature. The gentle roar of the cascading water and the sunrise over the green forest canopy create a truly serene atmosphere.

How to Get There
- From Davao City, travel by car to Cateel, which takes around 6–7 hours. From the town center, continue about 30 minutes to reach the Aliwagwag Falls Eco Park entrance.
