“Approximately 91 meters high with two tiers River cruising is a popular adventure activity Stunning mountain and river scenery along the route One of the most famous waterfalls in the Philippines”

Pagsanjan Falls is nestled among lush valleys and mountains in Laguna Province. While historically known by this name, the falls are officially located within the municipality of Cavinti, giving rise to the alternative name, Cavinti Falls. The waterfall has a total height_ of about 91 meters and consists of two main tiers, making it a popular destination for both local and international tourists.

Visiting the falls is an iconic Filipino adventure, typically involving a canoe trip (known locally as banca) guided by two expert local boatmen. The entire round trip takes about 2–3 hours. The upstream journey requires the boatmen to row against the current, navigating the scenic, clear river. The downstream return journey is called "Shooting the Rapids," where the boatmen skillfully maneuver the narrow dugout canoe through the fast currents, providing an exhilarating, high-speed thrill.

The journey offers breathtaking scenery of tropical greenery and sheer cliff faces. Tourists can photograph the waterfall from multiple angles and enjoy the cooling mist from the cascading water.

The absolute highlight of the trip is the option to take a small bamboo raft from the waterfall base and ride it directly behind the main curtain of water into the misty, dark cavern known as the Talisman/Devil's Cave (Lagunong Cave). This unique experience allows visitors to feel the full power of the falls.

Pagsanjan Falls also serves as a natural learning site. Visitors can observe the river ecosystem, including the tropical plants and aquatic life thriving in the area. Due to its dramatic natural beauty, the area has gained cinematic fame, having been used as a backdrop for numerous international films, including parts of the famous movie Apocalypse Now.

Nearby, small restaurants and souvenir shops offer local food and drinks, ensuring a trip to Pagsanjan Falls is both relaxing and highly adventurous.
