Sohoton Natural Bridge Park, located in Basey, Samar, is part of the Samar Island Natural Park, one of the Philippines’ most important protected natural areas. The region is characterized by tall limestone mountains, lush greenery, and a winding emerald river that carves through the valley, creating one of the most picturesque landscapes in the country.
The most iconic feature is the Natural Stone Bridge, formed by centuries of water erosion. The enormous rock arch towers above the river, creating a breathtaking natural gateway that visitors can pass under by boat. The limestone cliffs covered with vines and foliage make the area incredibly scenic and photogenic.
Popular activities include kayaking or taking a wooden boat along the Sohoton River. How to Get There
- From Tacloban City, travel by land to Basey and take a 30–45 minute boat ride from the local pier to reach the park.
