Khao Bot View Point is one of the most popular natural and cultural landmarks in Rayong Province, offering a perfect combination of scenic mountain views, local history, spirituality, and outdoor activities. The temple was originally known as “Wat Khao Chak Khaek”, according to local legends that mention foreign settlers once living in this mountainous area. Later, the name changed to “Wat Khao Bot”, inspired by the ancient ordination hall and old pagodas located on the hilltop. For generations, the temple has remained an important spiritual center for local residents and a symbol of Rayong’s historical heritage.

One of the most iconic attractions here is the green suspension bridge, a wooden and steel-cable bridge stretching more than 75 meters across two hill ridges. The building still preserves much of its original appearance, including aged walls, old plaster decorations, and a mysterious atmosphere reflecting traditional Thai temple craftsmanship.
