It is especially popular with travellers coming from Circular Quay, as the F2 ferry route connects Circular Quay, Cremorne Point Wharf, and Taronga Zoo Wharf, with fare payment available by Opal card or contactless payment card.

The area around the wharf feels calmer than the busy ferry terminals in the city, giving visitors a smooth transition from central Sydney to the greener harbour-side setting of Mosman.
