Luang Pho San

Luang Pho San, or Phra Chao San, is a Buddha image created using a unique traditional technique where the primary structure is woven from bamboo (typically the 'Hea' bamboo variety known for its flexibility). The woven frame is then coated with multiple layers of black lacquer and finished with gold leaf (Long Rak Pid Thong), giving it a solid, metallic appearance and ensuring durability. This method results in a lightweight statue and reflects exquisite Lanna craftsmanship. Spiritually, the weaving process symbolizes the intertwining of faith and community unity.
