According to historical records, Wat Tham Phra Phutthasaiyat is a place where Luang Pu Sao once resided and practiced meditation for a period. He was also "the leader in the construction of the reclining Buddha statue" inside this cave around 1939. Therefore, a statue of him has been erected for Buddhists to pay homage and remember him.
